CONCERT SERIES:  Come and join us as we celebrate what Jesus has done for us as we join in the singing of great hymns and hear the newly refurbished Pipe Organ resound to the glory of God.  When: TODAY, What time: 3:30 pm. Where: SANCTUARY.  Special guest organist Jonathan Oblander.

THE LUTHERAN WITNESS: subscription for 2012 is now coming due.  If you are already receiving the witness and would like to continue for next year, please submit your check for $15.  Please make sure you mark what the check is for.  If you are receiving the witness and would like to cancel, please let the church office know by October 7th.  If you are not receiving the witness but would like to, please submit your name along with the check for $15 by October 7th.  Any questions call the church office at 426-1130.  Thank you

PORTALS OF PRAYER:  The new October--December 2011 edition is now available.  They are on the tables in the welcome center.  If there are none there please stop in the church office to pick one up.

NVP FOOD PANTRY:  The NVP monthly food donation box is back in the Fellowship Hall.  Our Continual Help is Needed.  Donation needs can be found on the pamphlet on the table by the front door.  We will pick up the donations every Wednesday in September, so you may include fresh vegetables and fruits. Thank you for your support.

MARKET DAY ORDERS:  are now being taken to benefit OSLS.  If you haven’t checked out the wide variety of food offered please check out the order forms on the table in the Fellowship Hall.  This is a great opportunity to support the school!!  

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY ICE HOUSE:  Please contact Sue Wolter TODAY if you can help out on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the ICE House for an Our Savior Workday.  243-4187

BLOOD DONORS:  Plan ahead for our fall BLOOD DRIVE which will be Wed. Oct.12th 2 P.M. - 7 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Starting next Sunday you may sign up for an appointment.  We depend on every one of you to reach our goal of 25 donors.     

GOLDEN OLDIES:  Our next meeting will be on Monday, October 17th.  We will meet at church at 11:00 AM and carpool to Cedar Lake Lodge.  Once there, we will learn about opportunities to serve.  Lunch will be provided.  Please sign up on the poster in the Fellowship Hall.  Bring a friend and enjoy the fellowship.  Questions may be directed to Bill Haller at 426-7755.

ATTENTION ALL WOMEN!!  Camp Lakeview is offering a fantastic Women’s Retreat on October 14-16 with special guest speaker Dawn Schalow.  Her topic for the weekend will be “Christ – Our Compass Through Change!”  To pamper you, the weekend includes an optional massage, manicure, craft sectionals, and a Saturday evening banquet.  For more information, pick up a brochure in the brochure rack at the back of the church*, download a brochure at www.camplakeview.com or call the camp office at 812-342-4815.  Come away for some spiritual renewal.  Leave your worries behind and treat yourself to a weekend off!

ATTENTION MOMS: Do you believe in the power of prayer?  Do you find it difficult to find the time to pray for your child(ren) but truly have the desire to do so on a regular basis?  If so, then Moms in Touch might be just for you!  Moms in Touch International (MITI ~ mighty!) is a program that organizes small groups of moms who get together weekly for 1 hour to simply pray for their kids and their school, teachers, staff, etc.  If you are interested please contact Sue Francik ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
