ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY: Beginning Monday Evening, March 12, at 6:30 PM, Melissa Nelson will be leading the Bible study “A Love Worth Giving”, by Max Lucado.   All ladies are invited to join her for this opportunity to study His word.  In this study you will discover the depth and marvel of God’s love for you.  He boldly says that before we can pass love on, we must receive it ourselves—from God.  Pointing out that we must “love one another,” Lucado issues an impassioned plea to accept God’s love in order to truly, unselfishly, wholeheartedly love another.

SUNDAY SCHOOL THIS WEEK: Today, the Sunday School classes learned about Jesus’ miracle of feeding 5,000 hungry people (John 6:1–14). They learned that in His love, God promises to care for all our physical and spiritual needs and gives us the greatest treasure—His Son and the gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation. As a family, talk about the many ways that God has provided for both your physical and spiritual needs. In the catechism, look at the explanation to the First Article of the Apostles’ Creed.

LENTEN DEVOTIONAL BOOKLETS AVAILABLE: The Lenten Devotional Booklet “Time for Renewal” from Lutheran Hour Ministries is available.  Please take only one per family.  The booklets are located in the narthex.

LENTEN SERVICE: Join us Wednesday at 7 PM for our mid-week Lenten Service.  There will be a light meal served before the service at 6 PM.

OURSAVIORLOUISVILLE.COM: The 2006 Annual Report from the January Voter's Meeting has been published on the website. You can view it by selecting the "2006 Annual Report" link on the left side of the page. If you missed the meeting, but want to know what God accomplished in our church last year, you still have a chance to read about it. In the future, it will serve as a valuable historical archive that is easily accessible to all of our members.

4th ANNUAL TASTE OF OUR SAVIOR: Saturday, March 17th, will be an evening of “Sailing the Seven Seas”.  Tickets are available before and after services and during the normal school hours in the school office $35/person, $320/table and $400/platinum table.  Join your friends and enjoy the 4th annual auction, filled with food, fun, and fellowship as we raise money for Our Savior.

CAMP CEDARBROOK FUNDRAISER AND RETIREMENT RECOGNITION: Lois Lutz will be honored at a fellowship meal at Concordia TODAY, March 11, for her 10 years of service as Executive Director at Camp Cedarbrook. The meal will be served from 11:30 to 12:30 and will be a fund-raiser for Camp Cedarbrook (free-will offering).  There will be a short program on the camp.

EASTER LILIES: LWML is taking orders for Easter Lilies until April 1st.  The cost is $9.00 per plant.  This is a wonderful opportunity to help adorn the Easter altar and remember a loved one in honor of or in memory of that person.  The order forms are located on the poster in the Narthex.  Please make the check payable to LWML and place into the furnished envelope into the offering plate.

EASTER EGG HUNT DONATIONS NEEDED: The annual hunt is quickly approaching on Sunday, April, 1. Donations of candy, stuffed animals, plastic eggs, small prizes, etc. are needed. Please drop off your donations in the school or church lobby by Sunday, March 25.  Please contact Becky Kamman if you would like to help in any way with the hunt.  Thank you.
