Alleluia! As a family, discuss the Lenten journey to the cross and the cost of your sin. Talk about Jesus resurrection and payment for your sin. Open your hymnal and sing together your favorite Easter hymn!CHRISTCARE SAMPLER: Next Sunday, April 22, Our Savior’s ChristCare Ministry at Our Savior, will present “What Small Ministry Is”. This will occur in the gym, during the 9:45 AM Sunday School hour. Come meet our newest ChristCare Leaders, discover their small group’s focus and have an opportunity to ask questions about our ChristCare Ministry. REVIEW OF BYLAWS: TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SUBMIT COMMENTS. A committee, chaired by Tim Mueller, has been set in place to review the Bylaws, to consider any changes and/or additions. The members of the congregation are encouraged to give their input. You may pick up a copy of the Bylaws in the church office. Please provide written comments to Tim or the church secretary no later than Sunday, April 15th. Thank you. A WARM THANK YOU: Thank you to all of those who worked on the blankets and donated fabric for the blankets, this February. 50 blankets were made with many loving hands and hours of fellowship. The blankets are sent to people in need inside the US and to third world countries. This is a wonderful way to reach out and share the warmth of Jesus Christ with others. The blankets are on display now in the narthex. HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH NEWS! Your presence is requested at church NEXT Sunday, April 22nd at noon. In addition to the monthly worship, Bible study, and games you have come to know and love, we will be deciding on some service projects. GOLDEN OLDIES: We will leave church at 10:15 AM this Wednesday, by TARC to see a matinee performance of the musical Oklahoma at Derby Dinner Playhouse. Unfortunately, all seats have been sold out for this performance. OFFERING ENVELOPES: Due to a mailing problem with the offering envelopes some members did not receive the recent envelope mailing. If you live in a zip code area that begins with 400 you will have or soon will be receiving them. If you live in a different zip code area and did not receive your envelopes beginning April 1st, please contact the church office, so envelopes can be obtained for you. We regret any problems this may have caused. MEN’S SOFTBALL PLAYER’S NEEDED: Monday nights at Watkins Methodist Church will begin after Derby. Our Savior’s softball team is looking for players. The cost is around $35. If you are interested in playing please contact Scott Krantz or Mike Hayes. BOOK CLUB: The Our Savior Book Club will meet after late service today at the Bristol Restaurant on Hurstbourne Lane. We will be discussing the “Life of Pi”. Please remember to bring your books. Next month’s book will be “Secret Life of Bees”. The Book Club meets the first Sunday of the month after late service at the Bristol Restaurant. Any questions please contact Karen Osborne. HOLY TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH (LEITCHFIELD, KY) AND THE LUTHERAN MISSION BUILDERS would like to invite you to be part the groundbreaking for our new church building. The groundbreaking will be part of our April 15th, 10:30am (Central Time) worship service. Paul Nickel will be Our Savior’s representative at this special service. EASTER LILY NOTATION LEFT OFF: An omission on the Easter Lilies list last week was from LWML to the Glory of God and in memory of our departed brothers and sisters in Christ. OUR SAVIOR SCHOOL RESUMES: Our Savior School resumes tomorrow. PASTOR’S BIBLE CLASS IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL: There will be no Bible study in the Fellowship Hall next week with Pastor Fausel. Everyone is encouraged to attend the presentation by the ChristCare Ministers in the Gym. |
