NEW WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY: Monday Evenings for the next four (4) weeks with Melissa Nelson at 6:30 PM.  Why I AM a Lutheran JESUS at the Center, by Daniel Preus.  Through a blend of understandable explanations and real life stories, Why I Am a Lutheran explores the foundational teachings of the Christian church.  In each chapter, Preus calls upon more than 20 years of pastoral experience to reveal Jesus as the center of the Christian faith.  As he addresses central doctrines such as sin and grace, Law and Gospel, the person and work of Jesus Christ—who is “always and only at the center of all Christian teaching.” “I am a Lutheran for the same reason I am a Christian.  It is not by choice but by grace. The teachings of the Lutheran Church place Jesus at the center because the teachings of the Scriptures place Jesus at the center. No other confession demonstrates such fidelity to the truths of God’s Word. No other confession so glorifies Christ by placing Him at the center of all it confesses and teaches.  Being a Lutheran is truly all about Jesus.”

DIVORCE RECOVERY GROUP:  Someone you know may be going through a divorce and is hurting.  It is hard to know how to help someone who is going through a divorce.  It takes a long time and a lot of work to heal the pain that comes with the breakup of a marriage. DivorceCare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced.  If you know someone going through a divorce, make sure he or she knows about DivorceCare. It might just be the best thing you could do to help. DivorceCare meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8 PM, has begun to meet at Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Lane, in New Albany.  For more information and schedule call Kristi at 502-303-3500.
