TAGGED AS AN USHER? Bob Tancula is working on ushering teams for the 2008 calendar year. Be careful if he comes up and tags you for a team. But don’t worry, you will only have to serve about once a month and the more people he tags the less often you will have to serve. You receive free on-the-job training by professionals and the best benefit of all you are serving the Lord and the members of Our Savior. If you would like to usher for the 8:30 or 11 AM service you may also contact the church office. HYMNALS AVAILABLE: The old Blue Hymnals are available for members to take for use in their homes. They are located in the church lobby. STAFF THANK YOU: on behalf of all the staff here at Our Savior (Church and School) I wish to thank all the members of the congregation and school parents who contributed so generously this year to the “Staff Christmas Gift.” We thank you all for your appreciation. It is a privilege to serve the people of God here at Our Savior. Pastor Fausel. YEAR-END TAX PLANNING: As the end of the year quickly approaches, some thought will need to be given to your individual tax plans as it pertains to your charitable donations. Two items need to be considered.
BACKSIDE MINISTRY MEALS: our church will provide all the Monday meals in January. Churchill Downs is closed during the month of January, including the dormitory, the group is much smaller at only 45 to 50 people. Operations move to the training facility south of the Watterson Expressway on Poplar Level Road (the Old Kentucky Downs Track). “The key to evangelism is relationships”, according to Pastor Merino. Please contact Karen Osborne, 243-1765, to help. JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH: We are going to go to Youth Quake! It is a weekend long retreat held at a hotel in Indianapolis.
