ANNOUNCEMENTS

WOMEN’S MINISTRY COLLECTING FOR MILITARY: The Women’s Ministry group is collecting supplies to send to the soldiers currently serving in Iraq at the request of a troop chaplain who runs a supply closet for soldiers.  Items needed are: deodorant, shaving gel, lotion, multi-blade razors, Floss picks, liquid body wash (place in zip lock bags), baby wipes, AA and AAA batteries. NOT NEEDED are toothbrushes and paste, and bar soap.  Please place your donations in the designated box in the church lobby.  If you would like to also send a card/letter of thanks and appreciation to our troops, please place them in Emily Hayes’ or Carole Terkula’s narthex mailbox.  Thank you for sharing the love of Christ with our soldiers.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: On the first Easter, Jesus reveals to Mary Magdalene and to His disciples that He is alive (John 20:1–18). The children learn how Jesus comes to us in His Word, so that the Spirit can give us faith to believe in Christ’s resurrection and comfort us when we mourn the death of loved ones. Talk with your children about how Christ has reconciled us to God and thus gives us eternal life. Review the third article of the Apostles’ Creed and Luther’s Explanation to it as you talk about how the Holy Spirit works faith in our hearts.

EASTER BREAKFAST THANK YOU: A special thank you to all of the Scouts and their parents who helped prepare and serve a wonderful Easter breakfast.

NEW MEMBER CLASS: Pastor Fausel will be leading a “New Member Class” for those who want to learn more about our church and its teachings on Saturday, April 26, from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM with lunch included.
