THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICES:  The members of Our Savior celebrate our nation’s National Holiday of Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 25 at 7 PM. There will not be a service on Thanksgiving Day. 

NURSERY VOLUNTEER NEEDED:  A volunteer is needed for the Nursery on Sunday, November 29 from 8:20 AM – 12 NOON, if there are no volunteers there will not be a nursery for next week. 

MISSIONAL PLANNING WORKSHOP: December 6 from 4-6 PM there will be a workshop, in the gymnasium, for all congregational members to learn and discuss where God is leading us in 2010 and beyond.  A Chili supper will be provided. 

COOKIE WRAP: Saturday, December 12, at 10 AM the Women’s Ministry is gathering to assemble cookie trays to take to our shut-ins. Your help is needed in providing Cookies, assembling help, and delivery of the trays. Please contact Nora Horecny, 425- 6419, with any questions.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED:  If you enjoy sharing Jesus with children, please contact Sunday School superintendent Liz Nickel, 415-6838, if you can help.

L.E.A.F. (LUTHERAN EDUCATION ANNUAL FUND): The campaign for LEAF is a special opportunity to support our school through a special donation. Your gift will help to maintain the highest quality Christian Education. We invite you to check with your employer to determine if they might match your gift. Those who are members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans can have their gift matched at $1 for every $2 contributed through December 31.

NOVEMBER FOOD PANTRY COLLECTIONS: The collection for the month of November will be going to Redeemer’s Food Pantry, our sister congregation. Especially needed are canned meats, quick fix meals (ravioli, etc.), pancake mix and syrup, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, soup, crackers, cereal, and fruit. 

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: If anyone is interested in helping out with the Christmas Sunday School program, please contact Liz Nickel, 415-6838.

ALTAR POINSETTIAS: Poinsettias will be placed around the altar for the Christmas Services. The order forms with instructions and envelopes are on the display in the narthex. The cost is $10/plant and you may take them after the 10 AM Christmas Day Service. The deadline to order is December 13, and checks should be made payable to LWML.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS ANGEL: The NVP through EACM is collecting items for their Christmas Store.  Please see the enclosed flyer for additional information.  Please take an angel, with the suggested items from the Christmas Tree in the church lobby.  All purchased items need to be in the box in the lobby by November 29.  If you wish to make a monetary donation, please make you checks payable to Eastern Area Community Ministries (EACM).

MESSIAH SING-A-LONG:  You are invited to attend the 20th Annual Messiah Sing – A – Long on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 7:30 PM, with a cookie and punch reception following.  There will be gifted soloists and musicians, so come be a part of the chorus or simply come and listen.  If you would like a flier for your place of business, please contact the church office.  COOKIES ARE NEEDED: If you are interested in providing home-make cookies for the reception, please contact Betty Oblander, 244-2747.
