FAREWELL SUNDAY FOR THE JANHKE’S: The Jahnke family will be relocating to St. Louis and TODAY will be their last Sunday to worship with us.  Our Savior has been blessed to have them a part of the ministry and know that God will use them as a blessing at their next congregation. 

MISSIONAL PLANNING WORKSHOP: TODAY, from 4-6 PM there will be a workshop, for all congregational members to learn and discuss where God is leading us in 2010 and beyond.  A Chili supper is provided. 

COOKIE WRAP: Saturday, December 12, at 10 AM the Women’s Ministry is gathering to assemble cookie trays to take to our shut-ins. Cookie donations may be left in the Fellowship Hall by Saturday morning. Your help is also needed with assembling and delivery of the trays. GOLDEN OLDIES: The Golden Oldies will gather December 14 at Noon for their Christmas Meal and program, featuring the musical talent of the children of OSLS.  Please sign up on the display in the church lobby for the dish you will bring to serve 10-12 people.

ADVENT MEAL AND WORSHIP: December 9 and 16, we will continue to have our light Advent meal at 6 PM followed by the Advent service at 7 PM, please plan to join in the fellowship and worship.

ADVENT DEVOTIONS: Lutheran Hour Devotional Booklets are available in the church Narthex for your family use during this Advent time.  Please only take one per family so that each family may have one.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED:  If you enjoy sharing Jesus with children, please contact Sunday School superintendent Liz Nickel, 415-6838, if you can help.

DECEMBER FOOD PANTRY COLLECTIONS: The collection for the month of December will be going to Redeemer’s Food Pantry, our sister congregation.

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: Interested in helping with the Christmas Sunday School program? Please contact Liz Nickel, 415-6838.

ALTAR POINSETTIAS: Poinsettias will be placed around the altar for the Christmas Services. The order forms with instructions and envelopes are on the display in the narthex. The cost is $10/plant and the deadline to order is December 13. Checks should be made payable to LWML.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS ANGEL: Thank you to all those who donated to this effort to supply gifts for those less fortunate.

MESSIAH SING-A-LONG:  A special thank you to all who supported the Messiah Sing-A-Long. This event could not occur without your efforts.

MEN’S MINISTRY: Saturday, December 12, for Breakfast and a Bible Study, at 8 AM in the Fellowship Hall.

CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT: OSLS presents a special Christmas Program on December 17 at 7 PM, Carols by Candlelight.  This program begins in the Sanctuary and will end with a carol sing outside the school circle in candle light (weather permitting).  Please plan to attend. 

L.E.A.F. (LUTHERAN EDUCATION ANNUAL FUND): This campaign is an opportunity to support our school through a special donation and those who are members of Thrivent can have their gift matched at $1 for every $2 contributed through December 31.

ALTAR MINISTRY: Saturday, December 12 at 9AM we will decorate the Sanctuary and the tree. Even if you are not part of this ministry, we welcome you to come and help.

NEW CHRISTCARE GROUP: A ChristCare group is being formed for moms and daughters (in the 6th -8th grade).
