FEBRUARY FOOD PANTRY COLLECTIONS: The pantry collection for this month will be going to EACM’s (NP) Food Pantry. In addition to the non-perishable food items, especially those with meat, toilet paper, bath soap, toothpaste, dish and laundry detergent, Kleenex, shampoo, deodorant for men and women. Place on the table in the Fellowship Hall.

ASH WEDNESDAY:  Mark you calendar’s now, as Ash Wednesday, February 17, begins the first of our Mid-week Lenten services. A light meal will be served at 6 PM, with the service beginning at 7 PM.

LUTHERAN HOUR MINISTRIES: (LHM) proclaims the Gospel around the world and equips congregations to share Jesus with others.  On February 7, join us for LHM Sunday and help us support LHM’s life-changing outreach.  For more information about LHM visit www.lhm.org.

ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS: Additional Entertainment Books are available in the church office for $20/book.  Make checks payable to LWML.

GET YOUR GAME ON:  THE THEME OF THIS YEAR’S OSLS AUCTION:  The annual TASTE OF OUR SAVIOR Auction is scheduled for March 6. Remember to save this date! We have some restaurants confirmed…but donations have been hard to come by. If you or someone you know is able to donate an item for the auction, please contact Tracy Hannon.

USHERS NEEDED:  Ushers are needed in the 11 AM service if you would be willing to serve once a month in this capacity, please contact the church office.  This is a great opportunity for a family to serve together.

HAYES’ CHRISTCARE:  Is changing days and times, to the first Friday of each month at 10:30 AM.  So join us as we meet on February 5, at 10:30 AM then will join the Widow’s group for lunch out at Sesame Chinese Restaurant.

WIDOW’S GROUP LUNCH: We will meet February 5, at 12:30 PM, at Sesame Chinese Restaurant on the corner of Shelbyville Road and Hurstbourne Lane.

CAMP LAKEVIEW: Your children experience Christian growth while riding horses, canoeing, swimming, doing arts and crafts, and playing games. Registration materials for its summer 2010 season are available now at the school or church office.  

SUPER BOWL SUB SANDWICHES: Watch your narthex mailboxes for Super Bowl Sub Sandwich Order forms, which will be available from January 24 through February 7, so you can order your custom-made sandwich and chips.  The meals will be ready for pick-up on Sunday, February 7. There will also be subs available for sale on the day of the game. This fund-raiser is supporting the Youth in attending the National Youth Gathering this summer. 

LWML’S SHROVE TUESDAY SERVICE: Will be at Epiphany Lutheran Church, New Salisbury, IN, on February 16, starting at 1:15 PM.  

HAITI SUPPORT NEWS: On Monday, January 25, LWR’s first shipment of health kits and layettes arrived in Haiti. We are thankful to the ladies of Our Savior, who assist in our blanket ministry, as their dedication to this often silent ministry has reached and continues to reach people around the world.  To God by the Glory!  Because of the great need, anyone interested in continuing to work on blankets should contact Carolyn Nowatka or the church office.
