ADULT BIBLE STUDY: Faith Aflame: 360 Degrees Bible Study is meeting weekly in the gym during the Sunday School hour, 10:00-10:45am. Please join us for a joy-filled study that will help you become a more perfect steward of the many blessings you’ve been given. There is always plenty of room for YOU to join us! Questions?? NOW FORMING-SUMMER GOLF LEAGUE: the Third season for Our Savior’s Golf League will get underway in early May! Tuesday evenings at Long Run Golf Course. Sign up now, limited to the first 32 participants!  Questions: Contact John Kuecker at 222-1048.

THRIVENT BUILDS WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY: Raise the Roof for this year’s house is May 14 &15.

Other scheduled work days are June 12 and July 24. If you would like to volunteer for any for these dates please sign up on the bulletin board outside the church office.  

Funds needed for this year’s house are $8630. If you would like to contribute, there are envelopes on the table in the narthex. Please make the checks payable to Our Savior Lutheran Church with a memo for Thrivent Builds. Questions? Please contact Sue Wolter @243-4187.

SIGN UP TODAY after church to be a donor at our Red Cross BLOOD DRIVE to be held in the Fellowship Hall on Wed.  May 12, 2:00-7:00 PM.  The need is very great so please help us make this the best turn out ever.  Walk-ins are welcome.  

YARD SALE sponsored by LWML will be June 11 and 12, 8am to 4pm. Start saving items now! Household etc.  Children and large adult size clothing only please.   

MOTHER’S DAY ROSES FOR SALE: Long stemmed roses will be available to purchase at $2.00 a stem or $20.00 a dozen on Mother’s Day, May 9.  Proceeds will benefit the Pregnancy Resource Center.  

CHRISTCARE PICNIC: All ChristCare group members are invited to attend a potluck picnic to celebrate the ministry of ChristCare on Sunday, May 23, beginning at 4:00pm, at Robinson Park in Lyndon. Bring: a main dish, side dish, salad or dessert; chairs; beverages and picnic/outdoor games.

THRIVENT FINANCIAL MEMBERS: Record your vote before May 21 at Thrivent.com/choicevote to determine where Thrivent will distribute $1million among 10 nationwide Lutheran and non-Lutheran charities, to include LCMS World Mission and LCMS World Relief and Care!

LOUISVILLE BACH SOCIETY CMPETITION CONCERT: The top three finalists in The Louisville Bach Society Gerhard Herz Young Artists Competition in Vocal Performance will sing in a public concert at Concordia Lutheran Church, Saturday, May 15 at 7:30 PM. After the performance, the final places will be determined and prizes awarded.   

MIMI’S CAFÉ has been selected for the next dinning out event on May 22 at 6:00 PM. , 615 Hurstbourne.  We are rotating restaurants from the Taste of Our Savior.  Our group grew significantly last year with good times had by all.  It’s great to show appreciation to restaurants that supported the Taste.

YOU ARE INVITED to the installation service of Chris Truelson from Associate Pastor to the position of Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, May 23 during the 10:30 morning service.

MOTHER/DAUGHTER TEA: YES! It’s almost “Tea Time” again! It’s our Second Annual Mother/Daughter Tea is Saturday, May 8, 11:00am-1:00pm. Tickets are on sale NOW and are $12/person through May 5 ($15/person after). Our “Rainbows-themed” event will include a light lunch and other activities. Proceeds benefit American Heritage Girls Troop KY0317. PLEASE JOIN US!!

DONATIONS APPRECIATED: Since the Tea is our largest fundraiser of the year, we would especially appreciate any donations of finger sandwiches or cash donations for decorations. Please contact Becky Kamman at 254-1308 if you can donate these items to this special event. Thank you!
