SUMMER CHOIR SINGERS NEEDED: All interested singers are invited to join our summer choir. This is a short-term commitment that is always enjoyable. The music is easy, and the performance schedule will be tailor-made to suit the group. Rehearsal starts at 7:00 PM Thursdays and will last about an hour. Come join us! Talk to Scott Kamman (426-1130). HABATAT LUNCH: Our Savior is responsible for providing both workers and food this Saturday, June 12. Food items needed: Sodas, Chips, Fruit, and Desserts for 20 workers. A sign-up sheet for both workers and food is on the Bulletin Board at the foot of the Sanctuary stairs. Food items marked “Habitat Lunch” may be put in the Fellowship Hall kitchen this week before Saturday. Questions? Please call Sue Kendt. HELPING HANDS GROUP: Please review the Helping Hands sign up sheet to find out if you are a current volunteer for this group, or sign up if you would like to be called upon to make an occasional casserole for events in the church, such as funerals, or for congregational members in need meals due to illness and other things life occasionally throws our way. All are welcome and appreciated. CHILDREN’S SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL starts TODAY. We will be needing more summer teachers to commit to 1 or 2 Sundays this summer. Sign ups are on the bulletin board outside the church office. Please speak to Liz Nickel with any questions. YARD AND BAKE SALE sponsored by LWML will be THIS WEEKEND June 11 and 12, 8am to 4pm. Donate your unused household items for a great cause! We will also take children and large adult clothing only. You may drop off items in the gym during regular office hours – please call 426-1130 to confirm the building is open. ALSO…we will be selling baked goods, hot dogs, chips and drinks. WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS. Contact Karen Osborne at 243-1765. Watch the weekly bulletin for additional information. Proceeds will benefit the Young Women’s Representative to the LWML District Convention and Cedar Lake Lodge. SUMMER TIME is time for CAMP! Are you ready to go? You are cordially invited to the Camp Lakeview Annual Open House is TODAY, June 6, 2010. This afternoon’s activities include horseback riding, swimming, and tours of the new Lakeview Village expansion site. Come and see all the new exciting things growing up at camp! Everyone is welcomed! (For directions, call the camp at 812-342-4815) LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING?! Consider hosting a high school foreign exchange student next school year for a semester – or even the entire school year. You may choose to host a 15-18 year-old from 49 different countries. There is no fee for the program. You simply provide room, board and transportation. Students will come with insurance and spending money. If you are interested, please contact Sally Crespo at 477-1972 for details. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Mark your calendars NOW! Our Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 12-16. Registration forms are available in the church and school offices. VBS is for 3-year-olds through completed 5th grade. Students in grades 6 and up and adult volunteers are needed for VBS!
