HELPING HANDS GROUP: Please review the Helping Hands sign up sheet to find out if you are a current volunteer for this group, or sign up if you would like to be called upon to make an occasional casserole for events in the church, such as funerals, or for congregational members in need of meals due to illness and other things life occasionally throws our way. All are welcome and appreciated. CHILDREN’S SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL continues this week. We will be needing more summer teachers to commit to 1 or 2 Sundays this summer. Sign ups are on the bulletin board outside the church office. Please speak to Liz Nickel with any questions. SUMMER TIME is time for CAMP! Are you ready to go? Camp Lakeview Village has expanded and has a lot of new and exciting things for this year. For information call the camp at 812-342-4815. LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING?! Consider hosting a high school foreign exchange student next school year for a semester – or even the entire school year. You may choose to host a 15-18 year-old from 49 different countries. There is no fee for the program. You simply provide room, board and transportation. Students will come with insurance and spending money. If you are interested, please contact Sally Crespo at 477-1972 for details. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Mark your calendars NOW! Our Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 12-16. Registration forms are available in the church and school offices. VBS is for 3-year-olds through completed 5th grade. Students in grades 6 and up and adult volunteers are needed for VBS! Please contact Tracy Hannon at 423-7216 if you can help out in any way. CAMP CEDARBROOK: The Vespers schedule is now completed. Services are on Sunday evening at 6:00. This Sunday’s service will be conducted by Ron Richeson. USED FURNITURE NEEDED: We would like to secure donations of gently used furniture for our DCE intern, Bethany. She will be arriving on June 24th and needs to furnish a one-bedroom apartment she will already have a bed. If you have anything to donate, please contact Paul Nickel at 412-2214. Thank you! BACK 2 SCHOOL: We will be collecting items from now until July 25th ( see bulletin insert). Look for the poster and drop off area in the church lobby. Any questions please call T. Lindgren at 266-7409. Thank you in advance for ALL OF YOUR HELP! CAR WASH: On June 27th the Jr. and Sr. Youth will be holding a car was during late service. A free will offering will be taken to benefit the youth who are attending the National Youth Gathering in July. Keys will be collected prior to late service and your car returned shinny and new! Youth, in order to participate you need to attend early service and Sunday School. After the car wash you will enjoy pizza and some water activities. |
