A Study of Luther’s Small Catechism

This is an on-going study of the basics of Lutheran Christian teaching as outlined in the Catechism. This class is especially for those parents whose children are in 7th and 8th grade confirmation classes. But everyone is welcomed.

Improving Your Parenting Skills

Leader: Marty Brieschke
Location: 7th Grade Classroom
Begins: January 13th
Sessions: 8 Weeks

No matter how great a parent you may be, there is always room for improvement. All parents are encouraged to participate in this class. This will be the last time Mr. Brieschke will be leading this class due to his retirement in June. He is a tremendous resource for parents of young families with young children as well as to parents with teenagers. You and your children will be blessed through your participation in this study.

How to Read and Study the Bible with Understanding

Concerning Spiritual Gifts

Many Christians shy away from the topic of spiritual gifts because of the supernatural qualities of some of the gifts listed in the New Testament. This study takes seriously what the Bible says and focuses on helping the reader who is looking for their niche in the church.

Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) Training

Leader: Doug Netherton, certified trainer
Location: 6th Grade Classroom
Begins: February 10th
Session 5

In order to better manage volunteers and resources, FEMA is finalizing a guideline on credentialing volunteers for large-scale disasters. The federal guidelines indicate that volunteers responding to a disaster should be trained and certified. Lutheran Church Charities is providing training for Lutheran Early Response Teams (LERT). Should a disaster strike these teams would be put on call and may be asked to deploy in 72 hours or less to the disaster site. This training will prepare team member for credentialing and will focus on the safety, work, and ministry of Lutherans as Early Responders.

Our Savior already has a LERT Team that is preparing our members to be a part of our LERT Team. This class will qualify you to be a member of this team.

Ask, Seek, Knock (Prayer) – Coming March 24th – 4 sessions

God has promised to answer every prayer, and he does. Ask, Seek, Knock challenges readers to look at the role of prayer in their life.

Chosen By God – Coming April 28th – 4 Sessions

Who are the elect? This study will discuss the biblical mystery of election and encourages readers to anticipate the joys of heaven.

He Shall Come Again – Coming May 26 – 4 Sessions

How does God signal that the end nears? What will the end be like? This study explores the end times and assures readers that our Lord Jesus Christ holds us safely in His care.
