Our Savior Lutheran Church uses a variety of musical styles for services.

Adult Choir
  • Practices Thursdays from 7:30-8:45 PM in the music room
  • Sings about 3 Sundays a month
  • Provides worship leadership for both services, primarily the Joyful Heritage service
  • Provides adults with an enjoyable way to use their God-given talents
  • Provides worship leadership within the liturgical services
  • Prepares and performs special music for worship throughout the year
  • Open to all adults -- high school age and older
  • Requires a love of using your voice to praise God
  • Work hards -- but a good time guaranteed!
  • If you are unable to commit singing regularly there are opportunities to sing for special times, such as Christmas, Easter, or Passion Week
Adult Handbell Choir
  • Practice Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:30 PM in the music room
  • Provides adults with an enjoyable way to use God-given talents
  • Performs and prepares music for performance in worship
  • Open to all adults
  • Requires minimal note-reading skills
  • Accompanies choir on occasion
  • Members will work hard -- good time guaranteed
Junior Handbell Choir
  • Provides children with an enjoyable way to use their God-given talents
  • Prepares and performs music for worship and concerts
  • Open to all elementary students -- Fourth Grade and older
  • Learns the basics of bellringing for performance in worship and concerts
  • Helps in maintaining bells and equipment
  • Beginning and advanced groups
  • Previous instruction in note-reading desirable
School Choirs
  • Choral groups available for all students at Our Savior Lutheran School
  • Provide music for church services, concerts, and music programs
  • Learn songs and liturgy used in worship
  • Acquire listening and singing skills
  • Develops the students God-given talents
  • School families are encouraged to attend performances at Our Savior Lutheran Church to support the music program
School Band
  • Practices Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 - 8:45 AM in the music room
  • Run by Newsome Music Company, an independent Christian-based band instructional program
  • Students are responsible for renting their own instruments
  • Special fees are required
Praise Team Singers and Instrumentalists
  • Rehearse Friday evenings or Saturday mornings
  • Provides worship leadership for the 11:00 am Majestic Celebration service
  • Add special music in our services
  • Enjoy using their God-given talents
  • May play solos
  • May accompany choirs or congregational singing
  • Experience various degrees of participation--totally dependent on the person--as much or as little as desired
  • Current Needs:
    • Guitarists--acoustic or electric
    • Bass players
    • Melodic instrumentalists
