Serve the Lord And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. --Col. 3:17
Under the banner of this verse, Our Savior Lutheran School faculty has adopted the theme for the 2007-08 school year of “Serve the Lord.” As a faculty we have pledged to lead the way in our words and deeds as we set the example for the children God has entrusted to our care for this coming school year. We invite all members of Our Savior to join with us as we grow the Kingdom through our interactions with others.
The first day of school this fall is August 22. However, much is happening now as we prepare for opening day. Two important dates should be noted:
August 15: Preschool, Preschool childcare, and Kindergarten Open House Stop by and visit between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Later that same day beginning at 7:00 pm, Mr. Brieschke will hold his annual “Ending the Homework Hassle” seminar. All members of the congregation are invited to attend. This seminar is especially valuable for children and parents from 3rd through 8th grade.
August 18: Annual church and school grounds clean up 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. Help get the outside of the building looking good for all fall activities.
Finally, a thank you to Mr. Mike Shorter and Mauricio Blanco for the excellent interior cleaning and painting of the school wing. IT LOOKS GREAT!
In Christ, Martin A. Brieschke
