Youth in grades 6-12 encounter God in numerous ways at Our Savior. Every Sunday, youth engage in meaningful, Christ-centered worship, and hear law and gospel preached from God’s Word. During the school year, students also meet in home-based small groups and at church. These small groups meet together for fellowship at sponsored events and also gather to pray, learn God’s Word, build meaningful friendships, and challenge one another to follow Jesus' example in their daily lives. In short, our youth learn that Christianity is more than just a name, it's a way of life.

September 8

We'll continue to dive into Scripture and ask big questions about faith, life, and our world.

Sunday Night Bible Study

We are currently studying the book "Life's Big Questions, God's Big Answers". Youth want straight answers about faith. Seventy percent of church youth left home after high school and then left the Church according to a 2002 Barna poll. When asked for the reason for leaving the church, 32 percent (in an open ended question) listed intellectual skepticism—religion made no sense, there was no proof, or there were no answers to legitimate questions (2005 National Study of Youth and Religion). Youth have questions—God’s Word has the answers. Life’s Big Questions, God’s Big Answers looks at a key question in-depth and explores it through the Bible and research from journals and books by respected Christian authors. There’s no doubt about it; youth aren’t afraid to ask the tough questions about faith, the Church, and life. This Bible study helps answer those questions. (From CPH.org)
